It’s easy to pick up and play but it has a surprising amount of depth and complexity beyond its simplistic exterior on top of having innovative mechanics like teleport counters, quick dodges, beam clashes, and bukujutsu which capture the speed and intensity of a DBZ fight.
FighterZ may be a better fighting game and Budokai Tenkaichi 3 may be better at simulating the action of DBZ, but B3 isn’t a slouch in either areas.
It still stands as the best overall DBZ game.
